About Marbella

Marbella offers a good balance between city life and beach life. In the old town, you will discover the original Marbella with charming narrow streets and historic buildings. Here you will find plenty of tapas bars and a vibrant nightlife. Down by the sea, you will find tropical gardens and a long beach promenade. Here you can enjoy miles of sandy beaches, beach bars, and restaurants.

Marbella stretches 27 kilometers along the Mediterranean between Malaga and Gibraltar. Malaga airport is approximately 50 kilometers away. Marbella is the second-largest city in the province and has about 130,000 inhabitants. During the summer, the number doubles including tourists.

Marbella has two marinas, one in the center and one in Puerto Banús, located about 7 kilometers to the west. The Golden Mile area, perhaps the most exclusive residential area in the Costa del Sol stretches along the promenade from Marbella to Puerto Banus. This stretch is known for its mansions and dream properties with a varied selection of restaurants and cafes along the promenade. In the immediate vicinity of Marbella, there is a first-class selection of more than 15 top golf courses, as one of the major attractions.

Marbella, like all of the Costa del Sol and the Malaga region, enjoys a subtropical Mediterranean climate, with hot summers and warm winters. Cooling breezes from the sea make the summer heat manageable, with temperatures averaging 32 ºC in summer.
